Paddle erasers

1. CRBN Pickleball Paddle Eraser

Loading...

This paddle eraser, made from CRBN's proprietary blend of rubber, is extremely efficient at cleaning up your carbon paddle. I use it to take off ball fibers, residue and dirt, and even clean up minor scratches on my paddle surface. Shaped like an eraser, it's easy to hold and scrub with.
This is a great accessory for anyone with a carbon paddle as tiny bits of dirt and plastic debris from pickleball balls can clog up the grooves, giving you less control and spin on your shots. At just $15, it's an easy investment in your paddle's longevity, making sure the grit works the way it's supposed to.
Note: this is designed specifically for carbon fiber paddles so don't use it on Kevlar®, titanium, fiberglass, graphite, or other paddles.
star icon
My verdict
Keep your carbon fiber paddle performing and looking its best with the CRBN Pickleball Paddle Eraser. This is a handy accessory to give your paddle a quick restoration whenever it needs.

2. Skratch Labs Hydration Sport Drink Mix

Loading...

Skratch Labs makes drink mixes, energy chews, and bars with short ingredient lists. What stands out is how clean and natural everything feels. The flavor is subtle and not powdery or overwhelming.
The Hydration Sport Drink Mix has 400 mg of sodium per serving, plus potassium, calcium, and magnesium. They use cane sugar and dextrose, with no artificial sweeteners or colors.
A resealable bag of 20 servings is $23.95.
star icon
My verdict
A must-get if you want to stay hydrated while playing pickleball. This is for any player who cares what goes in your body and don't need a strongly flavored drink. Use it at home or pack it in your pickleball bag and you'll stay feeling your best on the courts.

Ball machine

3. The Erne

Loading...

The Erne is the best pickleball machine because it has a large ball capacity (150), a really long battery life (6 hours easily), and a great speed range (10-65 mph).
Even more impressively, it has preset drills that simulate real gameplay. On new models, you can customize each shot in a sequence to practice exactly what you want. Everything is run through a phone app and the machine constantly improves via software updates, making this the Tesla of pickleball.
Currently retailing at $1,776, it's a pricey accessory but it's cheaper than many of its competitors, making it great value for players who want to invest in their game long-term.
star icon
My verdict
If you're looking to improve your game with a pickleball machine, the Erne is the best in the business. I've been drilling with it for months and it's helped me speed up my slow hands, sharpen my reaction time, and keep me agile and fit for game days and tournaments.

Pickleballs

4. Life Time Pro 48 Pickleballs

Loading...

If you're only going to add one ball to your bag, this is the one I'd look at. The Life Time Pro 48 is the official ball of the PPA Tour and the speediest ball I've played with. It has a springy pop and a true, consistent bounce off the ground and off my paddle every time.
It lasts around 20 to 25 games in my experience, which is longer than a Vulcan. The trade-off is that it has less spin than a Franklin or Vulcan, and it bounces higher and hangs in the air longer, so it takes some getting used to. It's a serious ball for serious players.
Not sure it's the right ball for you? I compare all the options in my best pickleball balls guide.
star icon
My verdict
A fast, poppy ball for competitive players. It's too quick for beginners, so check my balls guide if you're not sure.

Pickleball bag

5. CRBN Pro Team Sling Bag

Loading...

This slimline CRBN Sling Bag offers excellent pickleball-specific features and first-rate materials. It's perfect for anyone who wants to carry all the necessary gear for a casual pickleball session in a neat and durable sling bag. It works for cyclists, anyone who walks to and from the courts, or those who play pickleball straight after work.
The large main pocket has plenty of space for a few paddles, a laptop, and your lunch. You can even fit a pair of court shoes in there if you're only carrying one or two paddles.
The two thermal-lined side pockets are large enough to hold 24 oz bottles when zipped closed, or 40oz bottles if you leave the tops open. At the front are two more pockets for storing any small bits. Lastly, there's a hidden valuables pocket built into the back lining for keeping your phone and keys safe.
The fence hook is made from heavy-duty metal, which is unique to this bag (others are all plastic) and super durable. It even has its own hide-away pouch to tuck it into when not in use.
At just under $60, this is more expensive than other sling bags like the Mangrove and Franklin. However, for the level of workmanship and durability you get from CRBN products, it's 100% worth the price tag.
star icon
My verdict
I love CRBN products, and this slender, sleek bag is another beautifully designed offering that delivers high performance and comfort.

Paddle grips

6. Pickleball Effect Comfort Tac Overgrip

Loading...

The Comfort Tac is a tacky, sweat-absorbing overgrip from Pickleball Effect. A pack comes with four grips and a finishing tape, and it fits any standard pickleball paddle.
It adds a moderately thin layer to your grip without feeling bulky, and Pickleball Effect describes the feel as ultra-soft and cushioned. It's a little less tacky than their Soft Ultra Tac, so that's the one to try if you want more grip.
An overgrip is the cheapest way to refresh a worn handle. Pickleball Effect suggests replacing it every few weeks if you play a lot.
star icon
My verdict
A cheap way to refresh your grip. Reliable, durable, comfortable, and moisture-absorbing, this overgrip keeps my sweaty hands from affecting my play.

Best portable net

7. SwiftNet 2.1 Portable Net

Loading...

A portable pickleball net is a great accessory to own. It lets you set up a game anywhere there isn't a permanent pickleball net, whether that's at home, in a park, or on a multi-use court.
The SwiftNet 2.1 is my top recommendation. It suits beginners to advanced players and coaches. It's really light at just 17 lbs, making it a breeze to transport to and from the courts. Its design is amazing with a boom frame that you pull into place with cords.
This makes it easy to assemble in under five minutes yet super sturdy. You get way better tension than a Velcro system. There's no center post to get in the way either, and the carbon fiber feet are neatly tucked away. It's a great investment at $299.99.
star icon
My verdict
I picked the SwiftNet 2.1 as the best portable pickleball net because it has a really strong construction for a portable net. It's also one of the lightest and easiest nets to set up and it comes at a great price, cheaper than many of its mid-range rivals.

Pickleball socks

8. PB5star Unisex Striped Crew Socks

Loading...

PB5star specializes in "game gear" just for pickleball players and I'm a big fan of their crew socks. They look great off the court and they really shine when you're playing, training, or going to the gym. They're made from top-quality cotton that's comfortable and athletic and stands up to hard wear, sweat, and repeated washes.
I've been wearing these for at least six months and they're still in great shape despite the rigorous tests I've put them through. They're $10 a pair but you won't find better pickleball socks than these.
star icon
My verdict
PB5star Crew Socks are my favorite socks for the pickleball courts because they're soft and comfortable but they hold up so well. They'll last you a long time and they make a great pickleball gift or stocking filler too.

Knee supports

9. OS1st KS7 Performance Knee Sleeve

Loading...

The KS7 is a thin, seamless knee sleeve with six compression zones. It's thin enough to wear under clothing, and OS1st treats the fabric with silver ion technology to keep odor down. It comes in sizes small to 4XL, in black only.
OS1st describes it as giving many of the benefits of a heavy-duty brace without a restrictive fit. If you have knee pain or an injury, talk to a doctor or physical therapist before you rely on a sleeve.
star icon
My verdict
A light, low-profile sleeve for players who want some knee support without a bulky brace.

Pickleball towels

10. Warping Point Cool Rush Towel

Loading...

The Cool Rush from Warping Point is a different kind of towel. It's a single-use cooling wipe, sealed in its own packet, made from plant fiber with a mint-based cooling formula. It's alcohol-free and leaves no sticky residue.
Warping Point says it starts cooling in about 3 seconds and lasts up to 3 hours. You can also reactivate a dry one with water and use it up to 3 times. It comes in 5, 10 and 20-packs. A 10-pack retails for $19.99.
Because each one is individually sealed, it's easy to keep a few in your bag for hot days between games.
star icon
My verdict
A handy pack for hot days and long sessions, as long as you're happy with a single-use style rather than a regular towel.

Ball retrievers

11. GAMMA Pickleball Ball Tube

Loading...

The GAMMA Pickleball Ball Tube is a collapsible plastic tube that holds 12 pickleballs when it's expanded. You push it down over a ball to pick it up, so you don't have to bend over.
It collapses to about 19 inches and expands to about 35 inches, so it fits in a travel bag. It comes with an adjustable shoulder strap and a fence hook, and a rubber quick-release strap on the open end lets you drop the balls into a basket.
A tube is the cheapest way to save your back when you're picking up a handful of balls. If you work through a lot more than a dozen at a time, a hopper is the better buy.
star icon
My verdict
A cheap, packable way to pick up balls without bending. Great for drills with a small bucket of balls.

These SParms sleeves are rated UPF 50+, which the brand says blocks 98% of UVA and UVB rays. They're made from 90% microfiber and 10% spandex with comfortable CoolTech material, and the fabric is lightweight, breathable and moisture-wicking.
A double-layer spandex cuff holds them in place without pinching. They're sold as a pair in sizes XS to L, in grey, black and white.

Pickleball gloves

13. Franklin Sports pickleball glove

Loading...

Franklin Sports Pickleball Gloves are made with the same premium leather as Franklin's famous MLB batting gloves. They're some of the most popular gloves for pickleball players because they have extra padding for a cushioned and comfortable paddle grip. These gloves wick away sweat and moisture really well to prevent your paddle from slipping in your hands.
I like that these gloves are fingerless because I like having a proper feel on my paddle. The wrist strap keeps them snug and tight on my wrist too. They're very well priced at $15-20 per glove.
Take a look at my list of the best pickleball gloves.
star icon
My verdict
Franklin Pickleball Gloves improve your grip while reducing the stress on your hand to keep you playing comfortably for longer. They're some of the highest-rated gloves for pickleball players and I definitely recommend them if you want to avoid hand or wrist fatigue.

Pickleball carts

14. ONIX portable cart

Loading...

The ONIX Portable Pickleball Cart is great for coaches, trainers, clinic and camp organizers, as well as players who like to practice. It holds 120 balls and rolls smoothly around the courts on strong swivel wheels that lock in place.
Made from lightweight aluminum and a durable nylon bag, it's a long-lasting cart that folds away for easy storage.
This is great for multi-use facility owners too as it can be used for tennis balls, baseballs, and other sports. It's a little pricey at $150 but it's worth it if you're willing to invest as it's more premium than the cheaper alternatives you can find.
star icon
My verdict
Strong and well-designed for easy storage, transportable in a vehicle, and great for wheeling around a court, the ONIX Travel Pickleball Cart is a long-lasting and durable ball holder.

It covers equipment, court dimensions, service rules, fault rules, non-volley zone rules and tournament conduct. It's rated 5 stars from 172 reviews on Pickleball Central.
It's a great small gift for a newer player, and handy for settling a line call or a kitchen dispute on the court.

16. Melin A-Game performance hat

Loading...

The Melin A-Game Hydro Performance Snapback Hat is the one I wear when I'm playing pickleball. It fits snugly and has a premium feel. It's held up so well after months of intense play, much more than any performance cap I've had before.
This is a breathable hat that's amazing at wicking away sweat. It's made from antimicrobial, floatable, water-repellent fabric.
It's a bit expensive at $79 but if you're someone who cycles through hats that don't last, try it out. It can save you money in the long run.

Court tape

21. Outdoor Cloth Court Tape

Loading...

The outdoor cloth court tape is great quality, made from cloth with a polyethylene coating. You can use it outdoors and even on indoor surfaces like carpets.
It sticks better than cheaper alternatives because the underside is made from natural rubber with strong adhesive, making it less likely to twist or curl up when you're applying it. The low-gloss finish means you won't have issues with light reflecting off it, like you do with shiny tape. It's water-resistant on both sides too.
Choose white, red, or yellow tape and cut with scissors, or even tear by hand, to create the lines you need for a temporary court. It's $14 at Pickleball Central right now (regularly $26.99) and each roll is 200 feet in length so it will last you a really long time.

The Outdoor Cloth Tape is the best court tape I've used to create lines for a makeshift court. It's super strong and resilient to weather and contact. It looks great and it lasts ages.

How to choose the best accessories for pickleball

When you're looking for the ideal pickleball accessory, there are three main factors to keep in mind: function, quality, and price point.

Function

Can this accessory improve your game? Will it make you more comfortable? Will it help you play safely?

Sunglasses, for example, can help you play better while also protecting your eyes from sun damage. Meanwhile, a good pair of pickleball socks might make you comfortable, but are unlikely to improve your backhand!

Quality

Before buying any pickleball accessory, consider whether it's good quality. As it's likely to get a pounding on the courts, you'll want to choose durable materials (e.g. strong stitching and zipping). Most importantly, read the reviews!

People with real-life experiences of each pickleball accessory volunteer their views and opinions in the reviews section. So, reading about their experiences will help you find out if the product is worth buying.

Find the perfect paddle

Find the perfect paddle

I've personally tested over 200 paddles. Take the quiz to see which ones fit your game best.

Take Our Paddle Quiz

Price point

Finally, choose accessories based on your budget. There are tons of great pickleball accessories out there, no matter how much you want to spend. There is no need to break the bank. Shop within your budget and you’ll find something useful.
