Payment Terms
By using the Pickleheads app, you agree to the following terms and conditions related to payments. These terms ensure transparency and fairness while outlining the responsibilities of all parties involved.
1. Payment Processing
All payments for sessions organized through the Pickleheads app are processed securely via Stripe Connect. By registering for a session or organizing one, you authorize Stripe to process payments on your behalf. Pickleheads does not directly handle or store payment information.
2. Fees and Charges
- Session Fees: The cost of participating in a session is determined by the organizer and displayed clearly during checkout.
- Platform Service Fees: Pickleheads may charge a service fee for facilitating transactions. This fee is non-refundable and will be disclosed at the time of payment.
- Taxes: Any applicable taxes will be included in the displayed price unless otherwise specified.
3. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our standard Refund Policy. Players are encouraged to review the policy carefully before registering. Refunds are processed through Stripe Connect and may take 5-7 business days to appear in your account.
4. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
- If you dispute a charge with your bank (a “chargeback”), any resulting fees may be passed to the organizer or the disputing player.
- Pickleheads does not mediate disputes between players and organizers. Users are responsible for resolving such matters directly or through Stripe’s dispute resolution process.
5. Organizer Responsibilities
- Organizers are responsible for setting session fees, refund policies, and handling any disputes with players regarding payments.
- Pickleheads is not liable for any financial or operational discrepancies arising from the organizer’s policies or actions.
6. Currency and Taxes
- All payments are processed in the currency displayed at checkout.
- Organizers are responsible for complying with applicable tax laws, including the collection and remittance of sales or use taxes.
7. Session Cancellations
If a session is cancelled by the organizer, all participants will receive a full refund. Refunds for cancelled sessions are processed automatically and may take 5-7 business days to appear in your account.
8. Stripe Terms
By using the payment processing features of the Pickleheads app, you also agree to Stripe’s Connected Account Agreement and other relevant terms. For more details, visit Stripe’s website: Stripe Terms of Service.
9. Platform Liability
Pickleheads acts solely as a facilitator for transactions between organizers and players. Pickleheads disclaims all liability for any financial damages, unauthorized transactions, or other monetary losses arising from the use of its platform. Pickleheads is not responsible for:
- Payment errors caused by Stripe or other third parties.
- Disputes between organizers and players over payments, refunds, or session policies.
- Financial losses resulting from cancelled or disputed sessions.
10. Indemnification
By using the Pickleheads app, both players and organizers agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pickleheads, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected to:
- Your use of the platform or services.
- Your breach of these Payment Terms and Conditions.
- Any disputes or issues between players and organizers, including but not limited to payment disputes, session cancellations, or refund claims.
11. Amendments
Pickleheads reserves the right to modify these Payment Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated through the app or website, and continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
